Join Gallery X on Saturday, August 29 from 1-4pm as we celebrate 36 years of Gallery X along with the closing of the largest exhibition of the year…Public Xhibition 37! This will be your final chance to enjoy the exhibition as we will begin cleanup and preparation for our next exhibition on Sunday, August 30.

The Public Xhibition is the show that started it all for Gallery X all the way back in August 1990 where any artist, working in any medium are called upon to express themselves creatively in any way they wish. 75 artists from 23 cities and towns responded to the call and submitted over 200 original works displayed across both gallery spaces. The works include traditional portraits, abstract sculptures, experimental mixed media, and everything in between.

The closing reception is free and open to the public, light refreshments (including cupcakes) will be served.

Artists with artwork on display are welcome, and encouraged, to retrieve their submitted artwork from the Public Xhibition on Saturday during the reception. If you are unable to pickup your work on Saturday, every effort must be made to collect it on Sunday as we do not have space to store additional artwork.
