High School Art Returns to Gallery X!
In early 2020 Gallery X began working with the art teachers of New Bedford High School to plan the return of the always popular High School Invitational exhibition series. Students, teachers, and the members of Gallery X eagerly looked forward to the show scheduled for November 2020. This was all put on hold with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, requiring the exhibition’s postponement to 2021. Now we are finally able to present to you ARTDEMIC, the 60 students partaking in this exhibition represent the photography, painting, drawing, digital art, art history, and three-dimensional art classes being taught at New Bedford High School. Works on display were created both in school and at home when students were virtual and were created from the start of the pandemic to today.
