Join Gallery X on Friday, September 25 for Cinema 169, a film screening series inspired by the visual art exhibitions on view at Gallery X. To coincide with the BETWEEN THE LINES exhibition we will be screening the wacky, musical comedy MUPPET TREASURE ISLAND, the quintessential adaption of the classic Robert Louis Stevenson novel!
Reservations recommended, but not required. Doors at 6:30, the screening will begin at 7:00.
This screening is open to the public, donations are recommended, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Refreshments will be available to purchase inside Gallery X.Â
Synopsis: Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic pirate tale takes on a life of its own in the hands of the hilarious Muppets. When young Jim Hawkins (Kevin Bishop) inherits a long-lost treasure map, he hires a ship to seek his fortune, with the good Captain Smollett (Kermit the Frog) at the helm…and greedy Long John Silver (Tim Curry) at the heart of a dastardly plot.
