DEVYN CARR

Devyn is a photographer based in Worcester, Massachusetts. He received his BFA in Photography with a minor in Sculpture from UMass Dartmouth in 2023. His recent works imagine a world where humans no longer exist and explore the effects of their absence on the planet. Using a 2D and 3D approach, Devyn tries to bring new worlds to life.

CHRIS DIANI

Chris Diani is a filmmaker and photographer based in Providence, Rhode Island.  A graduate of Seattle Film Institute’s total immersion program, he received an Associate of Fine Arts degree from the Community College of Rhode Island in 2021 and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography with a minor in Art History from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 2023.  Chris’s photographs have been published in the Boston Globe, the Art in America Guide, and Options Magazine and are held in the archive of the Holt/Smithson Foundation. was shown at UMass Dartmouth’s Gallery 244 in 2022. His first feature film, the award-winning gay zombie comedy Creatures from the Pink Lagoon, screened in over 30 cities worldwide and was released on DVD in 2007.

ORA HEARD

Ora Heard is a fine art photographer from St. Louis, currently based in western Massachusetts who received a BFA in Photography from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 2023. Using both digital photographs and video, her work explores her family history and how a place and the things that inhabit it can influence one’s life. 

JUSTIN MEDEIROS

Justin Medeiros received his BFA in photography from University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 2023. Justin’s interest in photography began at a young age and he enjoys photographing nature, portraits and concerts.

EDWIN PASTOR

Edwin Pastor is a photographer born and raised in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. His work is grounded in his identity as an Indigenous Guatemalan American. He captures the diverse cultures and regalia of Native and Indigenous subjects through portraiture. He especially aims to capture the details and craftsmanship of their dress, hoping to display personal and familial narratives that convey the complicated history that defines their experiences. Edwin has been influenced by films such as Ixcanul and El Norte, as well as the photography of Johnathan Moller in Guatemala. One particularly influential series by Moller, Our Culture is Our Resistance: Repression, Refuge, and Healing in Guatemala, included a photo of three women watching as the remains of relatives and friends, killed in the early 1980s, are exhumed. Edwin’s interest in studying Indigenous Central Americans comes from his own experience traveling to Guatemala and learning about the culture. Edwin is currently working towards his BFA in Photography at UMass Dartmouth.

GENEVIEVE VARELA

Genevieve Varela is a photographer based in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts. She received her BFA in Photography with a minor in Art History from the College of Visual and Performing Arts at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 2023. Her interest grew after taking her first photography class in college.

KATRINA VIEIRA

Katrina Vieira is a photographer based in Massachusetts. She received her BFA in Photography with a minor in Art History from the College of Visual and Performing Arts at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 2023. Her work specializes in self-portraiture and personal narratives.

MEAGHAN WELCH

Meaghan Welch is a photographer based in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. She received her BFA in Photography from the College of Visual and Performing Arts at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 2023. Her work encompasses a wide range of genres including portraiture, landscape, and event photography. She is always eager to explore new styles and techniques. Recently, Meaghan developed a strong interest in fashion and portrait work In her portraiture, Meaghan strives to capture the essence of her subjects and to reveal their innermost selves.
