Frederick Douglass Gallery

Our street level gallery and performance space is named in honor of the famed abolitionist and orator Frederick Douglass as well as in recognition of the Douglass A.M.E. Zion Church which called the building home from 1979 to 1994. A variety of dynamic solo and small group visual art exhibitions are held each year in the Douglass Gallery.

The 0000 square foot gallery features over 000 linear feet of wall space for exhibitions and has its own dedicated, and wheelchair accessible entrance. Stairs and a wheelchair lift in the southwest corner provide access to the Main Gallery. With a capacity of 60 people, two restrooms, and a 200 square foot platform stage on the west wall, the Douglass Gallery is an ideal space for all types of events and performances, both public and private.
