The Art of Iria DeValles-Vieira
Abstract artist, and Gallery X member, Iria DeValles-Vieira presents a solo exhibition of her artwork in the Frederick Douglass Gallery at Gallery X from April 22–May 16.
Iria’s work is a celebration of color, emotion, and lived experience expressed through acrylic paintings and mixed media collage. Moving fluidly between abstract, figurative abstraction, seascapes, and landscapes, she creates layered compositions that reflect both inner moods and the beauty of the world. Vivid, bright colors are central to her visual language – they carry energy, memory, and feeling across each canvas.
This body of work invites viewers to experience joy, reflection, and movement – to step into a space where color speaks, and abstraction becomes deeply personal.
