Join Mary Monteiro, the members of the Resilience collage workshops, and Gallery X for the opening reception of The Resilience Project, an exhibition of original paintings by New Bedford artist Mary Monteiro as well as original resilience collages by members of New Bedford Quakers, Beyond House, Southcoast LGBTQ+ Network, and Whaler’s Cove.
The Resilience Project is supported in part by the Art is Everywhere! grant funded by the City of New Bedford through its Arts, Culture & Tourism Fund, and is facilitated by New Bedford Creative at the NBEDC, which receives support in part from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency. Additional support received from the Mass Cultural Council.
The exhibition will be on view in the Frederick Douglass Gallery at Gallery X from November 5 through November 29.
