Call for Art!

Gallery X invites artists of all backgrounds and disciplines to submit works for a non-juried exhibition celebrating texture and the tactile.
We are seeking surprising and playful combinations of texture, three-dimensional art, and works that demand to be touched. Submit work full of contours and contrasts, including but not limited to: sculpture, impasto, encaustic, stitched canvases, carved wood, rusty metal, felt, fur, rough or polished stone, layered collages of paper, fabric, and found objects, and work with interactive elements.
Please mark clearly on your submission slip if you give permission for your work to be touched while on display in the gallery. The default rule for all submissions–and all wall art–is no touching allowed. There will be a clearly designated area where visitors will be invited to respectfully interact with artwork through touch.Â
This exhibition is open to submissions from all artists working in any medium. Work may be submitted during Gallery hours or by appointment beginning August 15. The deadline for submissions is Sunday, August 24. When submissions are brought to Gallery X the artist will fill out a submission slip with basic contact and labeling information.

Submission Guidelines and Info
This is a non-juried show, all artists and media are welcome.
• Submission Fees (for non-members): $15 for the first piece, $10 for each additional piece, maximum 5 pieces per artist (2 for $25, 3 for $35, 4 for $45, 5 for $55). GX members submit work for free!
• All forms of media are accepted; paintings, photography, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, etc.
• All work must be ready to hang and include proper hanging attachments (wire, sawtooth hanger, etc.). Pedestals are available for sculptures, three dimensional work, or jewelry.
• Sale of submitted work is optional. Gallery X handles all sales and retains a 35% commission on any sale made by non-members. Members are subject to 25% commission on works sold.

Looking to save time? Print your submission slips ahead of time and have everything ready to go when you bring in your artwork! Please note if you are printing your own submission slip you must use the file below and bring 2 copies to the gallery (1 that will be attached to the piece and a 2nd that is given to the gallery attendant).
No printer? No worries… We have printed submission slips ready and waiting in the gallery!
