Call for Art!

Gallery X invites its artist members to participate in a special end of the year Douglass Gallery exhibition, Small WorX. The premise is simple, the artwork can of or about anything, it just has to be small and made by a current artist member of Gallery X! Artwork can be in any media or style as long as it is no larger than 12″ in any direction.
Submitted artwork does not have to be new, but we strongly encourage artists to submit work they have not previously exhibited at Gallery X. There is no requirement that submitted works be made available for sale, but to facilitate giving the gift of art, this will be handled as a “cash & carry” exhibition, meaning buyers may take the artwork home with them at the time of purchase. Any artist whose work sells during the exhibition will then have the opportunity to replace it with a new piece!
Work may be dropped off during Gallery hours or by appointment beginning November 20. The deadline for submissions is Sunday, November 29. When submissions are brought to Gallery X the artist must fill out a submission slip with basic contact and labeling information.

Submission Guidelines and Info
This is exhibition is open only to Artist Members of Gallery X
• Submission Fees: As a Gallery X member exhibition there are no submission fees to participate!
• Members may submit up to 3 pieces for initial inclusion in the exhibition. If your work sells during the exhibit you will be able to replace it with a new piece.
• All forms of media are accepted; paintings, drawings, photography, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media, jewelry, etc.
• Submissions must be exhibition ready and include proper hanging attachments (wire, sawtooth hanger, etc.). Pedestals are available for sculptures, three dimensional work, or jewelry.
• Individual works from one artist may not all hang together, if your submissions are part of a series or diptych/triptych please make note of this when submitting.
• Sale of submitted work is optional. Gallery X handles all sales and retains a 25% commission on any sale made by members. No POR. This is a ‘cash & carry’ exhibit, buyers will take artwork with them at time of purchase, allowing for artists to submit new work to take its place.

Looking to save time? Print your submission slips ahead of time and have everything ready to go when you bring in your artwork! Please note if you are printing your own submission slip you must use the file below and bring 2 copies to the gallery (1 that will be attached to the piece and a 2nd that is given to the gallery attendant).
No printer? No worries… We have printed submission slips ready and waiting in the gallery!
