Opening Reception for Sex at the X Sex at the X opening

Our Sex show is still proving to be one of our more popular shows if the turn-out for the reception is any indication! We had a great crowd come in to enjoy the delights on display for the evening.

burlesque Along with all of the fascinating artistic interpretations of sexuality, erotica, and the human form, the crowd also got to enjoy a free, surprise, burlesque show put on by Juliet Loranger. She definitely aroused some interest!

We love getting the right kind of attention. The Standard Times did a nice little piece on the show. It can be found here.

New Postcard Policy

Many of you love the beautiful Gallery X postcards that are produced for every show and we do, too. But, there is a great expense in postage for mailing those cards. In the interest of reducing our costs as much as possible, so as to keep the Gallery open!, we have had to make the hard decision to stop mailing out postcards. We'll still be printing them, however, and you will find them around New Bedford before each show and there are always some at the Gallery, too. We'll also continue to send email announcements of shows that will also feature the artwork from the cards.

And for those of you who like that sort of thing, here are some really funny mailboxes .

Gallery X is an artist owned and operated community art center. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is open to the public free of charge.
