Stephen Yates
Stephen Yates the founder of cock-a-doodle-doo designs, is a designer of cloth home furnishings and clothing. He has designed and produced silk-screened pillows, tote bags, wraps, framed artwork and batiked silk scarves.
Stephen first began silk-screening under the tutelage of Annie Hayes and has studied batik dyeing with Abbie Chambers and Elin Noble. He continues to use both techniques to produce textiles and enjoys the creative freedom that they impart to the artist.
Stephen’s work is inspired by themes from nature and the art of Africa.
