President
Don Wilkinson is a graduate of the Swain School of Design, 1982, BFA in printmaking, and UMass Dartmouth, 1991, MFA in visual design. A charter member of the 2nd Street Art Exchange, and Gallery X. Started two Vermont art groups: Caravan Arts, and FAUVe (Fine Artists of Vermont). Exhibits regularly in Massachusetts, Vermont, Connecticut and elsewhere. is the liasion between the Swain School of Design Alumni and UMass Dartmouth Alumni organization. Married to fabric artist (and Gallery X-er) Elizabeth Wilkinson and is the Father of Isabelle (15) and Nigel (13).
Vice President
Victor Da Silva is an artist from Fall River working in painting, illustration, and mixed media sculpture.
Treasurer
Liz LaValley has been a scrimshander for over 30 years, she scribes ivory and bone. Liz exhibits at the Gallery X Arts Cooperative and lectures at the New Bedford Whaling Museum. Education: BFA University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Liz is a poet and artist who combines collage, poetry and calligraphy. Won "Best Body of Work" at Philadelphia Millennium Philcon. Member of Bartleby Scrivner Poetry Group since 1994.
Secretary
Richard Ward is a Harvard graduate with a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan. Is a Chancellor Professor Emeritus at UMass. Dartmouth. Has had two summers at Middlebury's Breadloaf School of Literature, Writing. Is a Professional Economist and is much published in his field and in retirement has published three memoirs. He is a life long doodler, an art form displayed in Gallery X and other venues.
